Project Gateway

The protection of butterflies, moths and their habitats is only possible if the information on their distribution, ecology, and their trend is available and made accessible to nature conservation and decision-making organisations. Butterfly Conservation Europe has run several projects that help identify butterflies and moths under threat, monitor their populations, and disseminate the results to policy makers and the public. A summary of these projects is shown below.
